Eternity Beckons...
A touch, a call, a whispered love
That beckons from beyond
A dream, a sight, a fulfilled wish
A love that ne'er was gone
The hope within that lasting call
Was one strongly perceived
By she who hoped for reason sure
And in that alone believed
Heaven its sacred blessing gave
The awakening had begun
Within the gaze of true love
Within two hearts that beat as one
Never to part though miles wide
Through vast expanse of space
The journey only brought her near
To a love no time could erase
The call was heard, the journey long
The mission seemed endless in time
But she smiled when she closed her eyes
In forever she found it all rhymed
A vast expanse was no more than
A touch, a dream, a thought
She discovered that she could reach out
And embrace the one long besought
The aching turned to something dear
A knowledge of value so deep
That gave her strength the race to run
The love in her heart to keep
For when the mission would draw her nigh
To a love that could not sever
She found eternity in his eyes
